The puzzle’s illustration consists of fifteen Disney vintage movie posters. Most of the posters are non-anthology, feature, animation films released from 1937 until 1973. However, Mickey Mouse, located in the center of the illustration, is the exception. It was a shorts and released in 1928. Furthermore, Fantasia and Mary Poppins, were not included, because they are either anthologies or included live action.
Unfortunately, the dark green border with the movie’s title and year of release was confusing. Listing them in an alphabetical or chronological order would make better sense.
Build
Most collage puzzles have a fairly straight forward sorting strategy. However, the plethora of words in this puzzle made the sorting even easier.
First, we sorted the border including the dark green band with movie titles. Next were any words, such as the movie name and descriptions. Lastly, we sorted movie poster by their distinctive colors and patterns. For example, Jungle Book was easy to sort, because the poster’s light green palette and characters are distinctive from all the other movie posters.
Difficulty
Collage puzzles are great for family or groups, because individuals can focus on a specific part of the puzzle without interfering with other puzzlers. For us, we individually focused on different movie posters. It took four puzzlers about two hours and forty five minutes (2:45:18). Overall, a fun puzzle to solve. Great for any Disney fans, family or group puzzle events, or as your first 1000pc puzzle.
