Who doesn’t like fresh flowers? We do, especially when we give them to others for special occasions. Farm Flower Shed is a 1000 piece puzzle and part of Buffalo Games Country Life Collection. The Country Life series is themed around rustic imagery, such as flowers, birds, dogs, quilts, wheel barrows, dogs, tractors, farms, etc. that have vibrant colors. Farm Flower Shed is the eleventh puzzle that we’ve solved from the huge 87 puzzle collection.

Farm Flower Shed pretty much sums up the description of the puzzle. The imagery is that of a garden shed filled with flowers, gardening equipment, bird houses, and with a tractor and barn in the background. The colors are very vivid as the shed’s wall is rose color and compliments with the blue shed door. In addition, the illustration is chock full of flowers.

Build:
The illustration has a good balance of large distinctive, repetitive, small unique patterns. For example, large distinctive patterns include the blue doors as they have different shade of blue with shovel and rakes on one door, while the other door has gardening clothes. While, the listeria flowers over the door and the shed sidings are repetitive ambiguous patterns. Small unique patterns were the different colorful flowers, flower pots, and bird house.
Thus, our strategy of solving this puzzle was sort for border pieces, large distinctive areas, and the ambiguous repetitive patterns.
Difficulty:
Overall, the puzzle is fun and challenging as it has the right balance of distinctive and repetitive patterns. The distinctive areas was also balanced between large and small areas. The numerous straight lines also help with solving the puzzle. Overall, it took us 3 hours and 21 minutes to solve the puzzle.
Quality:
Buffalo Games’ puzzles are made of high quality material. The illustration is printed on matte paper on top of gray chipboard. The pieces are light but strong and interlocks well together. The puzzle includes a poster of the illustration that is useful for solving the puzzle.
